Why I volunteer writing this web site
I am a yoga teacher and a 5 year climber now. But I am also an ex-software engineer and I worked for a trading company to support some start-up companies and entrepreneurs.
So I happens to have the both IT skills and Marketing and promotion skills. And of course English. So this is why I am volunteering about Hyugami crag.
The Wishes
I wish climbing connect people around the world. So we become friendly each others. Love solves the problem not the fears.
The bonds each climbers has a strong since we are literally letting our life to be in our partner's hands.
I wish every climbers to become friends to each others and visit each other's country. So it will help world peace. Our planet earth has only one big family.
My motto
Climbing is universal and itself is an international language. You don't need to speak any language if you are a climber. (Of course speaking helps but we can get most from careful observations.)
For the beginners and visitors
However, the beginners are not yet a climber, so they may need a guidance to be able to protect themselves, from the danger particularly seen in climbing. That case, I think I will recommend to take a course in local climbing instructor.

The climbing instructors are handy when you are new to crag since Japan's crag are kind of tricky... the grade books and bolting are not yet standardized. So you got to be familiar with the crag for a while to know which routes has trustworthy bolts and is fun to climb. Obviously, you don't have a such time when you are just visiting.
English guidance
English guidance by an interpreter attending in climbing is not much available in Japan but do you really need it? I kind of have a hard time understanding it but I happen to be able to. So I will accompany you as an attend for half the price of what a translators company will ask you. But it is still expensive considering climbing are always free from such cost. But if you insist, contact through this site.
Car Share
When I go, I can pick up, up to 3 climbers in my car, and don't mind driving but I would like to have the cost split.
Friends visit and offer
If I can visit your place for climbing, I am happy to offer a guest room in my apartment. I am used to having a guest and have a pretty much westernized life style.

I do accept a couch surfers but I want to be appreciated and friendship that case.
